Leslie’s teaching experience includes coaching and mentoring of pre- professional students, teaching of Open classical ballet classes, Repertoire of both classical and contemporary works, Boys ballet classes, private coaching for technical assistance, as well as choreographing of both classical and contemporary solos or group performances for competitions.
Royal Academy of Dance Vocational training including boys up to and including Solo Seal.
Leslie also supports students in limber, stretch and Pilates techniques and lectures in Safe Dance, Dance appreciation and history. Leslie also assesses dance students for end of semester examinations.
Leslie is a faculty member for Sydney College of Dance, teaching the Full-time students in diverse areas of their training. Throughout Leslie’s teaching career many past students have progressed to professional performing careers with international dance companies.
Leslie began her teaching and choreographing career teaching jazz to vocational students at The Hammond School in Chester UK. Leslie's teaching has transitioned to both Classical and Contemporary works. Leslie has taught at many prominent dance schools in Sydney, coaching and creating in all genres including Character dance.
In 2018 Leslie taught ‘Introduction to Repertoire’ for the RAD ACT Region. Leslie has also taught The Isobel Anderson and Betsy Sawyer Scholarship classes for the RAD both in Sydney and Canberra.
Throughout the last five years, Leslie has taught at The McDonald College in Sydney. In 2017, she was the main teacher for the Advance 2 boys for the Royal Academy of Dance examination.
As a creator and educator for dance, Leslie has also supported students as an outside tutor for The NSW Board of Studies HSC Dance Curriculum. Leslie's experience includes choreography of Contemporary Dance Solos as well as all written, core and major components of the subject.
Leslie has choreographed solos and group work for various dance studios and Vocational School productions, The Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarship and CASPA (Catholic Schools Performing Arts).
